Part 1 (of 5):

The Destructive Trap Of Spiritual Influencers

Ever since the world got smart enough to look beyond what their current reality is and decided to step into a realm that's termed as “Spiritual”...

Things have taken a very Ugly Turn…

Now every single person who has enough theory and fluff with a smartphone in hand and no practical experience has decided to turn into an Influencer.

“Fake it Till you Make it” is taking the World by storm.

No wonder charlatans, shams and quacks in all fields are popping up nowadays. Especially on Social Media. No media is being spared.

From Personal finance, Investments, Business advice to Health and Fitness to even safely guarded subtle and Spiritual aspects have been adulterated beyond means.

Substance is losing value. Aesthetics has been given more importance and hence giving rise to many scams all over the world.

People have lost their money, health and what not falling for these influencers.

Due diligence from your side is quite necessary. Or get prepared to fall for Visuals and Promises dangling in front of you.

But when this starts happening in existential science like Meditation and Yoga, when a science so subtle starts getting adulterated, forget about this life your countless lifetimes are at risk all-at-once.

Your Quest to know the nature of your existence in this cosmos, which is your very birthright, will go in an endless spiral if guided by a wrong person.

Let's start with the…

Destructive Trap #1: The Theorists.

Well these are as the name suggests. They start with Theory, and eventually get trapped in theory.

They gather their knowledge from everywhere they can.

From Books to Blogs to Scriptures.

Videos, Audio, Podcast, to Socially shared stories. They will gather it leaving no stone unturned.

Nothing wrong with it. At least at this stage. But the problem begins when they start throwing this theory around rubbing it on everyone's face the moment someone comes in their vicinity.

Plus their mind gets into an illusion that we already know everything. It can't know the fine line between theory and experience.

At one point the mind will consider Theory as experience and all hell breaks loose.

Unless the Theorist sits down in one place, closes his/her eyes and goes deep inside with an open eye to see things the way they're, they’re doomed.

If theory is a byproduct of experience. It's good.

But if one knows that a theory is simply a speculation and the theory has to be put to test at one point, then theory is good. No wrong in that.

But if Theory is considered absolute without any experimentation, both the followers of that theory and maker are doomed. At least on Spiritual path.

So all these stories about OBE, Astral Travel, Chakras, Tantra, Mantra, Aghori's, Sacred Geometry, Sound Healing, Reiki, Entities, Paranormal and all that is good for Tea time. For curiosity it's definitely good.

But don't let it hamper you down from actual Sadhana or Practice that you want to do or have been initiated into. One practice with enough depth will open all other Realms within you.

So whenever a Theorist comes simply keep your Eyes and Ears open. Don't try to extract something from it and come to absolutes. Because then you'll miss the whole point.

Also Theorists can come in all shapes and sizes in the form of a Friend, Stranger or a Social Media Influencer.

Treat everything with a pinch of salt. Unless you’ve been initiated into that practice.

There are also superior versions of Theorists which we will cover in upcoming parts.

Before that let's focus on Destructive Trap #2 …
